We’ve all heard the saying “opposites attract” attributed to any number of situations, but I’d be willing to wager that statement is at its most accurate in Sin City. Nowhere else will you find a single boulevard packed with such random mash-ups as a rollercoaster that dips through a casino, gondolas (complete with singing gondoliers) that float you through the heart of a shopping mall, and an 8.5 acre dancing water display that laughs in the face of its desert locale.
As the city that pretty much invented one-upmanship, it’s no wonder Vegas is about to become home to what is arguably the most random mash-up of all.
Pervasive breakfast (and late night munchies) joint Denny’s has announced they will be opening a restaurant complete with wedding chapel in downtown Las Vegas. Yep, you read that correctly. Classy, eh?
In the next few months, Denny’s will be opening a 6,400 square foot flagship restaurant complete with wedding chapel, nightclub and, of course, a restaurant that features a variety of wedding packages on the menu. With free-flowing booze and wedding cakes made of pancakes, why would you ever even think of tying the knot anywhere else? And you don’t even need to leave the premises to have your wedding photos taken, as there will also be an interactive photo booth on site.
The bad news for any of you who are just itching to have Denny’s host your Vegas wedding is that you’ll have to wait until the end of 2012 to do so. But the good news is that the time of day will never interfere with your ceremony, as this flagship restaurant will be open 24/7. Thank goodness for small miracles, right?
